Renko

Renko is the studio of Los Angeles-based floral designer Ren MacDonald Balasia. Ren’s arrangements incorporate a dramatic scope of flora and botanical elements, imbuing her arrangements with surreal textures and vibrating color hues, resulting in a fantastical sensibility. Such drama is always grounded by locally-sourced materials and flowers that derive from native ecosystems. Drawing upon her Japanese heritage and a connection to both Hawaii and Los Angeles, Ren’s work evokes a powerful connection to place and ask us to revel in the sensorial delights of the present.
